Anantha Vismayam, an exhibition and sale under way at Kanakakkunnu in connection with the second anniversary of the Left Democratic Front government in the State, has a lot to offer city residents.
The expo has brought together stalls of a number of government departments under one roof. The stalls highlight the achievements and focus areas of the government in the past two years. Be it those of the Public Works Department or that of the Labour and Skill department, the stalls provide a glimpse of the government’s aims and accomplishments.
Stalls of block panchayats such as Parassala, Perumkadavila, Kilimanoor, and Nedumangad display the achievements of each. The Nedumangad stall has various plant saplings for sale such as rambutan, pomegranate, mangosteen, and so on.
Organic vegetables grown by them are also available for sale. The Perumkadavila block stall has tamarind of two types, jackfruit, tapioca and banana chips, honey, beeswax and other products. The Nemom stall has a huge collection of woven Kerala saris and, while that of Kilimanoor has a range of iron cooking implements such as woks, knives, machetes, pans, and so on.
From Parassala, there is honey, rice, pickle, snacks and masalas, all manufactured by the Lavanya Kudumbasree unit there.
The Industries Department stall has bamboo products such as vases, frames, bangles, neckpieces, earrings and so on.

The stall of the Horticorp has jackfruit as its hero. Audio and video content highlights the benefits ’of jackfruit, while products such as chips, pickle, and jam can be bought by those who are fond of the fruit. Whole jackfruit is also available here.

A stall of the Jail department has products such as vegetables, wood carvings, apparel, nettipattom, kitchen racks, and so on that are manufactured by inmates.
