Probe Tharoor's poll documents: LDF

The LDF district committee has urged the Election Commission to inquire into allegations that Union Minister of State for External Affairs Shashi Tharoor got his name included in the voter's list in the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituency using fake documents. The district committee, which met here on Sunday, said Dr. Tharoor had presented before the authorities concerned documents secured for getting ration card. He had also covered up information about him and not presented the entire details while seeking inclusion of his name in the electoral rolls, the meeting said. The meeting, chaired by CPI(M) district secretary Kadakampally Surendran, was attended by Food Minister C. Divakaran, Devaswom Minister Ramachandran Kadannappalli, CPI(M) State secretariat member Anathalavattom Anandan, CPI State secretary P. Ramachandran Nair and RSP State secretary V.P. Ramakrishna Pillai.
