The Fort Police on Friday arrested a policeman from the Armed Reserve Camp at Nandavanam for allegedly harassing a family. The accused has been identified as Shibu. The alleged incident happened on Thursday night at the Priyadarshini auditorium in East Fort.

According to the police, Ratheesh, who along with his family had gone to the auditorium for a function, found Shibu standing near their car with his leg placed on the bonnet, when they returned. When he was questioned, Shibu used a stone to make a dent on the car and alleged that Ratheesh had tried to knock him down with the car sometime back.

Shibu allegedly continued with the act of denting and damaging the car. Ratheesh was knocked down when he tried to stop him. His wife was also pushed away.

The Fort Police booked him for causing damage to private property, outraging the modesty of a woman, causing voluntary hurt and using abusive language.
