Pirated CDs seized, two persons arrested

The City police have arrested two persons and seized from them pirated CDs of new Malayalam films and pornographic movies during separate raids conducted in places at Neyyattinkara. Shibu, who was running an electronic shop at Nellimoodu, was arrested with CDs of pornographic movies and a memory card having over 10,000 pornographic video clippings, a press release said. The raid was conducted following complaints about the accused selling pornographic movies to schoolchildren and migrant workers.

The police also arrested Shaji Raj, a resident of Neyyattinkara, and seized from him 250 pirated CDs of newly released movies Vikramadithyan , Bangalore Days , Munnariyippu , Appothikkiri, and Avatharam .
