Pirated CDs: one held

The Anti-Piracy Cell (APC) on Sunday arrested one person and seized over 500 pirated movie CDs from him. M.V. Majeed, 52, a resident of Kacheripadi, Ernakulam, was returning home after buying pirated CDs of latest Malayalam movies from Beemapally when he was arrested at the Valiyathura Junction. Majeed was one of the main agents supplying pirated CDs in Ernakulam. The area will continue to be under surveillance and shopkeepers engaged in such illegal activity would be arrested, B. Varghese, SP (APC), said.
