Pinarayi VIjayan calls for introspection

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said introspection is necessary to understand if the country has progressed as envisaged by Mahatma Gandhi. Inaugurating the golden jubilee celebrations of Gandhi Bhavan, run by the Kerala Gandhi Smarak Nidhi, on Tuesday, Mr. Vijayan said while Gandhi had advocated efforts for the growth of the local economy, the traditional sectors have suffered through the activities of corporate giants. This has paved the way for artisans and others craftsmen being pushed to dire straits.
