Petitions received for CM's mass contact programme

The Chief Minister’s mass contact programme to be held in the city on August 12, to resolve problems confronted by people, has evoked tremendous response with as many as 14955 complaints already been registered through online. Of the total complaints received, over 10,000 complaints have been processed already. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy personally attended to around 150 complaints, an official release said.

Among the complaints received, 8430 pertains to below poverty line ration card holders, 1420 concerning the Chief Minister’s relief fund, 1320 pertains to property disputes, 663 job related, 422 pertaining issuance of patta, 404 related to loans and 1037 concerning various services provided by government agencies.

A review meeting chaired by District Collector K. N Satheesh on Thursday urged officials to immediately attend to the complaints received online. They have been asked to address all the grievances before the screening committee meeting scheduled to be held here on August 5. The screening committee is headed by Health Minister V. S Sivakumar.
