They are not accomplished artists. But their spirit of inquiry is evident in their foray into the world of art, using the skills at their disposal.
An exhibition of paintings by began at the Museum Auditorium in the city on Saturday, coinciding with the release of a collection of poems authored by V. Santharam, a former police officer.
100 paintings Over a 100 paintings are on display in the exhibition, which was formally inaugurated by Governor Sheila Dikshit, who also released ‘Pebbles’, a poetry collection by the retired IPS officer, by handing over a copy to Home Secretary Niveditha P. Haran.
The paintings have been done by Mr. Santharam, Sabari Manilal, Vinod Mayoora, Aryanad Rajendran, M.R. Jaykrishnan, Nishanth Neelayi, K.R. Sham, Sharan Peringode, K.K. Suresh Alamcode, R. Baratharaja, Meena Kumari, Rekha Srinivasan and Eby N Joseph. Around 200 students participated in the painting exhibition in connection with the event.
