Over 140 entries for children’s film fete

Feature and short films, docus to be screened

Over 140 feature, documentary and short films will be screened as part of the week-long International Children’s Film Festival to be organised by the Kerala State Child Welfare Council here from May 14.

The festival, which would be formally inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on May 15, would have screenings at the Tagore Theatre and Nila, Kairali, Sree, and Kalabhavan cinemas. Interested children may register online for passes through the website www.icffk.com .

The council is organising the festival in association with the Kerala Chalachitra Academy, Kerala State Film Development Cooperation, and the State Institute of Children’s Literature. Several national and State award winners will take part in various programmes every day.

Carnival too

A carnival is also being organised as part of the festival at Tagore Theatre. Open forum and cultural programmes by children would also be held.
