The Suchitwa Mission will organise an Onam greeting card contest for school students. Upper primary and high school students in aided, unaided, and government schools can take part in the contest.

The cards, containing messages about sanitation and waste management, should be made using eco-friendly materials. The cards should be signed by parents and handed over to class teachers on the first working day after Onam holidays.

The message contained in the card will get 50% marks and the card’s design and beauty will get the rest.

The State Suchitwa Mission will present prizes to the best three cards at the State level — ₹10,000, ₹7,000, and ₹5,000. At the district level, the district missions will give away ₹5,000, ₹3,000 and ₹2,000 for the best three cards. At the sub-district level, winners will be given bags made with eco-friendly materials.

An exhibition of the cards will also be held at the school level.
