New Nambi for temple

Brahmashree Radhakrishnan Raviprasad of Akkaradesi Aaikya community (Edapady family) has taken charge of new Panchagavyathu Nambi at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple.

Mr. Raviprasad, a chartered accountant by profession, had completed 13 years of puja under the guidance of Sree Sree Pejawar Swami. He took charge as Nambi after ceremonial functions held at the temple on Friday. Rituals were held under the direct supervision of Tharanallur Parameswaran Namboodiri.

As part of the rituals, “Neettu” (order) written on palm leaf ( thaliyola ) was read in the presence of Yogathu Potti members. The traditional palm umbrella ( olakkuda ) was handed over to the new Nambi by Pushpanjali Swami, who holds an important position in the temple’s administration.

Chairperson of the temple committee and District Judge V. Shircy, District Collector Biju Prabhakar, executive officer K.N. Satheesh, and chartered accountant Vijayakumar were present.
