Molestation attempt: bus crew held

The crew of a private bus was arrested by the Parassala police on Saturday on charges of attempting to molest a female passenger on the bus.

According to the police, Samson, 28, of Neyyattinkara, the second driver of a private service that operates between Thiruvananthapuram and Bangalore, was arrested after a passenger, a 26-year-old nurse, a native of Thiruvananthapuram working in Bangalore, alleged that he had attempt to molest her.

The complainant had originally telephoned her husband in the Middle East while on the bus and he alerted the police, who stopped the Bangalore-Madurai-Thiruv

ananthapuram bus at the Parassala junction to arrest the accused. The police have registered a case and are investigating, while the accused was produced before court and remanded, police said.
