Minister warns against violence

March 04, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:48 am IST - Thiruvananthapuram:

Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has said the violent stand-off between RSS and CPI(M) cadres threatens to upset the peace in at least two districts in the State.

At a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr. Chennithala said he was oath-bound to “put an end to the resurgent culture of political violence” that had cost at least three lives so far this year.

The police had arrested the IUML activists suspected to be responsible for the murder of a DYFI worker in Kannur. They had identified those responsible for the murder of an RSS activist in Thrissur and a CPI(M) man in Kannur recently.
