Entries invited for photography awards

: The Information and Public Relations Department has invited entries for the State Photography Award for the year 2016. The theme for the award this year is ‘Mannum manushyanum’ (Soil and humans). The first, second and third place winners will get a cash prize of Rs.50,000, Rs.30,000 and Rs.25,000 and a sculpture and citation. Ten winners of consolation prizes will get Rs.2,500 cash prize and a certificate.

Professional and amateur photographers can take part in the competition. The size of the photographs should be 18x12 inches. Only colour photographs (except laser prints) will be accepted. Each photographer can send three entries.

The entries should reach the Director, Information and Public Relations Department, South Block, Secretariat, Thiruvananthapuram – 695001, before 5 p.m. on August 10.
