February 23, 2013 10:37 am | Updated 10:37 am IST - Thiruvananthapuram:

Finance Minister K.M. Mani on Friday asserted that the post of Kerala Financial (KFC) chairman was not open for a political appointment.

Responding to a question at a press conference on his rejecting CMP leader K R Aravindakshan’s claim for being appointed as the chairman of the financial institution, Mr. Mani said the sharing of the post of KFC chairman was not part of the “divisible pool” that was discussed by the United Democratic Front that went into the question of sharing the posts of various boards and corporations.

Only officials could be appointed to the post, he pointed out.
