The members of the Beemapalli Muslim Jama-ath have urged the government to make public the report of the judicial commission that probed into the police firing at Beemapalli and to take action against those responsible for the incident. Six people had been killed and many injured in the police firing on May 17, 2009, when clashes broke out between the people of Beemapalli and Cheriyathura.

The K. Ramakrishnan Commission had submitted its report to the Chief Minister a few months ago. However the public had not yet seen the report. The government should make the report public and bring to book the policemen who had made serious lapses in their duty, M.A. Khader, general secretary of the Jama-ath, told a press meet here on Tuesday.
