Loans made easy forexpatriate Malayalis

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said here on Monday that the government would extend a helping hand to expatriate Malayalis willing to set up entrepreneurial ventures in their home State.

Speaking after inaugurating a rehabilitation project and start up loan scheme for expatriates, he said the two projects would help them access credit on easy terms. The government was committed to creating an ecosystem for Malayali expatriates to utilise their talent for the State.

The Chief Minister said the schemes would offer loans up to ₹20 lakh for setting up entrepreneurial ventures and up to ₹30 lakh for welfare of persons belonging to minority communities.
