KWA to supply bottled water

The Kerala Water Authority will start marketing of packaged drinking water from next year.

It proposes to set up plants for packaging water in Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode. The construction of the plant for Thiruvananthapuram will be inaugurated at Aruvikara on May 22. The plant will have capacity to process and package 7,500 litres of water a day in plastic bottles and pouches.

The project was being carried out following the ‘engineering procurement and construction management' model, a release said.
