Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Pattom, has been ranked as India’s no.1 Government Day School in the Education World India School Rankings for 2015.
The award will be presented at the Education World India School Rankings awards nite at the Taj Vivanta in New Delhi on September 26.

Education World has been publishing the annual Education World School Rankings with C fore, a Delhi-based market research and opinion poll agency, for the past seven years.
In the past four months, 120 C fore field personnel interviewed 11,660 parents, principals, teachers, and senior school students in 27 cities countrywide and persuaded them to rate schools in their region on a 10-point scale across 14 parameters of educational excellence.
They rate and rank over 800 of the country’s schools on academic reputation, faculty competence, leadership quality, sports education, teacher welfare and development, co-curricular education, management quality, parental involvement, internationalism, community service, life skills education, conflict management, value for money, and infrastructure provision.
Oldest in the country
Established in 1964, KV Pattom, is among the oldest KVs in the country.
The school recently celebrated its golden jubilee and was in the news for getting the top rank in CBSE Class 12 examination this year.
Its alumni include civil servants, doctors, engineers, educationists, and other professionals.
The previously unranked KV Pattom, trumped the KV, IIT Madras, which was ranked no.1 last year. KV Pattom was top rated on the parameters of competence, commitment of teachers, and sports education.
It was also rated highly on parental involvement and value for money.
