KITTS becomes ICRT affiliate

November 10, 2014 09:38 am | Updated 09:38 am IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the International Centre for Responsible Tourism (ICRT) and the Kerala Institute of Tourism and Travel Studies (KITTS) at the World Travel Market in London on Wednesday to make KITTS an affiliate of the ICRT.

The MoU was signed between Suman Billa, Secretary, Tourism, and Vice Chairman, KITTS, and Harold Goodwin, ICRT Director.

With this, KITTS, the nodal agency for responsible tourism activities in Kerala, can work as ICRT Kerala.

KITTS will be able to propagate the initiative to other parts of the world through the network of ICRTs.

The ICRT Kerala is the outcome of the international conference on responsible tourism movement held in June 2013 at the initiative of Dr. Goodwin.
