February 24, 2014 12:54 pm | Updated May 18, 2016 10:38 am IST - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:

Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) general secretary T.J. Chandrachoodan has cautioned the third front leadership against fielding the corrupt as candidates in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.

Inaugurating the State conference of the Kerala Tailors Union affiliated to the UTUC here on Sunday, Mr. Chandrachoodan said that a third alternative to the Congress and the BJP led by the Left and comprising regional parties should come to power at the Centre for addressing the crucial issues concerning the nation.

Forming a third front of regional parties which were capable of winning up to 250 seats in the Lok Sabha elections was an arduous task. The regional parties had their own vested interests. He said the third front should not name a Prime Ministerial candidate. But if it wanted so, it should name a candidate acceptable to the people.
