Eleven persons from the State have been selected for the Jeevan Raksha awards for the year 2015. The President has given his consent for the awards. The Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha award will go to U.M. Umesh, Mylakkara, Ernakulam. The Jeevan Raksha award will go to P.V. Abhishek, Choliyode, Taliparamba, Kannur; Tomy Thomas Plathottathil, Kanjirappally, Kottayam; P.K. Praveen, Morayur, Malappuram; Jinish, Rabeesh, and Vipin, Manjeri, Malappuram; Kiran Das, Karuvambaram, Malappuram; M.V. Pratheep, Mallassery, Pathanamthitta; P. Muhammad Wahid, Valanchery, Malappuram; Romario Johnson, Chalakkudy, Thrissur. The awards will be presented at the Independence Day celebrations here on August 15. — Staff Reporter
