Metroman and Principal Adviser, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), E. Sreedharan has attributed to team work the success of major projects such as Konkan Railway, Delhi metro and Kochi metro executed under him.

He was speaking after receiving the Nandiyode Rajan Memorial Award instituted by Thiruvananthapuram Regional Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union (TRCMPU) in recognition of his ‘services to the country’ here on Wednesday.

“In such projects, the individual gets the focus and acclaim. But team work is behind the success,” Mr. Sreedharan said after accepting the award from Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development K. Raju. The award carries a plaque and a cash prize of ₹25,000.

Mr. Sreedharan said the 97th award being presented to him was special as it was instituted by the farmers who were responsible for the White Revolution. He said the cash prize would be used for charity work of the trust floated by him.
