Inspections held at eateries

Two squads of Corporation Health Inspectors conducted inspections at some eateries in the city on Thursday. In the Nanthancode circle, 17 hotels were inspected, of which Mascot Hotel and Hotel Prashanth at PMG Junction; Sindhoor Hotel and Hotel Aryaas at Kuravankonam; and Spice Hut and Swagath Hotel at Pattom were given notice for renovation. Hotels that were previously inspected, including Roy Hotel, Bhaskara Bhavan Hotel, and Devaswom Board canteen, were reopened as they had implemented the changes. Action would be initiated against owners of hotels that functioned in unhygienic circumstances, a statement said.
