Handwriting contest today

The stage is set for The Hindu in School- Cello handwriting contest which will be held at the Christ Nagar ICSE school. The regional finals of the contest will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

All the school-level winners have to report at the venue at 10 a.m. with their school identity cards. Participants will be provided with pen and paper.

The ongoing contest is open to schools in Chennai, Bengaluru, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore and Salem. It will be held at three levels across two categories — junior and senior.

The School Handwriting wizards will now get to create the   Cello Wall where they can write about the changes that they want in the country. 

Chief Post Master General Sumathi Ravichandran will be the chief guest on the occasion and will give away the prizes. Top three winners from each category will participate in the national finals. The date for the final contest will be announced soon.
