Government to take over three estates

The State government has issued orders to take over three estates that were earlier in the possession of Harrisons Malayalam Limited and sold to others. The order for taking over the estates has been issued by special officer M.G. Rajamanickam, who was appointed by the government for resuming the land possessed by the company, also from the transferees or those who occupied the land, under the provisions of the Land Conservancy Act.

Orders have been issued to take over 2,700 acres owned by Travancore Rubber and Tea Company and 207 acres owned by Ria Estates and Resorts, both in Thenmala, and 2,263 acres of Cheruvally Estates at Erumeli, a Revenue Department officer said here.
