: Government doctors in Health Services boycotted their private practice on Tuesday and held dharnas in front of the Directorate of Health Services (DHS) and at all district headquarters as part of their agitation to protest against the anomalies in doctors’ pay revision following the Government Order on the Tenth Pay Commission.

The Kerala Government Medical Officers’ Association, apart from the pay revision anomalies, has also sought to draw attention to the lack of infrastructure in government hospitals, the shortage of doctors and the deterioration in quality of patient care due to the inadequacies in post creation.

Over 150 doctors took part in the dharna before the Directorate of Health Services.
