Good show by schools in CBSE exams

Thiruvananthapuram posts highest pass in country

Schools in the city have posted a good show in this year’s Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 board examinations, the results of which were published on Monday.

The Thiruvananthapuram region registered the highest pass percentage of 95.41 in the country. B. Arjun of Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Pattom, shared the second rank with Mythili Mishra of Amity School, Noida.

Kendriya Vidyalayas at Akkulam and Pangode have achieved 100 per cent results. Of the 72 students who appeared for the examinations at KV Akkulam, 11 scored above 90 per cent and 70 students secured more than 60 per cent marks. Out of the 153 students who appeared for the examinations at KV Pangode, 24 students got more than 90 per cent marks, 84 students above 75 per cent, and 142 above 60 per cent.

St. Mary’s Residential Central School, Poojappura, posted a cent per cent pass in the examinations with 91. 38 per cent students securing distinction. All the 296 students of St. Thomas Central School, Mukkolakkal, passed. While 201 students secured distinction, 92 secured first class.

At Arya Central School, of the 263 students who appeared for the examinations in the science stream, 107 scored more than 90 per cent marks and 188 students above 75 per cent. At Blue Mount Public School, Thonnakkal, 46 per cent of the students secured distinction and all the remaining secured first class.

Shanthiniketan School posted a cent per cent win with nine students securing distinction and 19 securing first class.

Of the 85 students who appeared for the examinations at Viswabharathy Public School, nine students scored above 91 per cent and 54 students got distinction. At Sree Chithira Thirunal Residential Central School, 22 students secured distinction and the remaining first class.

Saraswathi Vidyala at Vattiyurkavu posted cent per cent results. At the School of the Good Shepherd, Akkulam, seven students scored more than 90 per cent. While 40 per cent of the students at Amrita Vidyalayam, Kaimanam, secured distinction, 60 per cent of them scored a first class. Chinmaya Vidyalaya at Attukal achieved cent per results with 58 of the 123 securing distinction. At Sarvodaya Central Vidyalaya, 19 of the 126 students secured above 90 per cent marks and the school registered cent per cent win.
