Results of ICSE, ISC examinations declared on Friday

Janaki Keerthi of Christ Nagar Higher Secondary School, Kowdiyar, and Aravind Sreekumar from Loyola School, Sreekaryam, emerged the State toppers at the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) examinations 2012-13 respectively, results of which were declared on Friday.

According to Chief Executive Officer and Secretary of Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations Gerry Arathoon, Janaki Keerthi scored 585/600 (97.5 per cent) while Aravind scored 487 out of 500 (98.25 per cent).

Schools in the city have fared well in the ICSE and ISC examinations.

Eighty four of 123 students of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kunnumpuram got distinction, 32 got first class and 17 bagged second class in the ICSE exams. Niveditha V. Nair, with 96.5 per cent, is the school topper. In the ISC examinations, 23 out of the 39 students secured distinction and 15 got first class. N. Jayakrishnan, with 94 per cent, is the school topper.

From Loyola school, Sreekaryam, all the 50 students secured distinction in ICSE exams.

Aravind Venugopal, who scored 582/600, stood first. In the ISC examination, of the 53 students, 40 secured distinction, 12 got first class, and one student, second class.

At, St. Thomas Residential School 157 out of 160 secured distinctions in ICSE exams. Eric Binu Robert came first with 96.7 per cent and Aiswarya Bose came second with 96.2 per cent.

In ISC, out of the 99 students of the science stream, 86 secured distinction and 13 secured first class. Padmanabh S. Prabhu stood first with 96.5 per cent.

In the commerce stream, out of 26 students, 19 secured distinction and six secured first class. Geo Zajo, with 95.2 per cent, is the topper in the stream.

Twenty-seven students from the L’ecole Chempaka School, Sreekaryam, took the ICSE examinations this year, and 25 have secured distinction and two first class.

Commerce topper

One student who took the ISC examination in commerce stream has passed with distinction.

In Marion Villa Convent ISC School, Kumarapuram, 39 students of the 61 secured distinction, 19 got first class and three, second class in the ICSE exams.

N. Farsana (94 per cent) emerged the topper. Of the 37 students who took the ISC examinations, 11 secured distinction, 20 first class and five second class. P. Dipin (94 per cent) is the topper.

At Christ Nagar Higher Secondary School, Kowdiar, 136 of the 156 students secured distinctions and others first class in the ICSE exams. In ISC, of the 110 students, 98 secured distinctions, 11 secured first class and one got second class. G. Anand who scored (98 per cent) 389/500 marks is the topper.

In Holy Angels’ ISC School, Nanthencode, 52 out of the 85 students secured distinction and 33 first class in ISC.

In the science stream, J.R. Aparna and Aparna B. Pillai stood first with 96.8 per cent. Lakshmi Kishore with 92.8 per cent is the topper in the commerce stream.

In the ICSE examinations, 139 out of the 150 secured distinction and 11 first class. Malini M. George and M.H. Nimisha with 96.8 per cent stood first.

At Trivandrum International School, out of the 22 students who took ICSE, 13 have distinctions and 21 scored first class.

Kavya Rajeev, with 94 per cent, is the topper. In ISC, two out of seven got distinction and five got first class. Shyam Sebastian (80 per cent) is the topper.
