KIMS Hospital, in association with Merlyn Foundation, has launched a scheme, ‘Hridaya Spandanam,' under which cardiac surgery will be performed free-of-cost for 100 indigent patients.
Chairman of the foundation K. Jalaluddin and chairman and managing director of the hospital M.I. Sahadulla said this at a press conference here on Saturday. Deserving patients from across the State will benefit from the scheme. Surgeries will be performed by a team of surgeons at the hospital. A screening committee has been set up under G. Vijayaraghavan, head of cardiology, to ensure transparency in the selection of patients under the scheme.
