Four held in Thiruvananthapuram on charges of assault, robbery

The Medical College police have arrested four persons for assaulting a family travelling in an autorickshaw and robbing them of gold jewellery. The arrested are identified as Shaji Kumar of Attipra, Santhosh of Kunchalumoodu, Abeesh of Vettucaud, and Ismail of Thumba stationkadavu.

They attacked Nobil, a resident of Vembayam, while he was returning home after witnessing the air show at Shanghumugham early this week. The gang then snatched the gold chain of his daughter and fled.

Nobil who fell unconscious had to be rushed to the Government Medical College Hospital here, Sheen Tharayil, Circle Inspector, Medical College, said in a press release.
