Kerala Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has suspended former Thrissur City Police Commissioner Jacob Job for having held a 'secret' parleys with Mohamed Nisham, the controversial business person whose assault had allegedly led to the death of Chandrabose, the security guard at his apartment complex in Thrissur on February 16.

The Home Minister suspended the former City Police Commissioner based on a report submitted by the Thrissur Range Inspector General of Police T. J. Jose, who had confirmed the allegation that Mr. Job had held secret parleys with Nisham, who has been charged with murder.

Nisham had assaulted Chandrabose on January 29, hit him with his luxury car and beat him up, leading to internal injuries to which the 50-year old security guard succumbed.

Earlier, the controversial business person had created a furore in April 2013 by allowing his then nine-year-old son to drive his Ferrari and posting the picture on his Facebook page. The police had booked him under Section 23 of the Juvenile Justice Act for this. Nisham, who is active in real estate and tobacco industries with presence in both Kerala and Tamil Nadu, hit the news headlines once again when he locked up a woman police constable as she was engaged in a routine roadside check of vehicles.
