Providing high quality healthcare, especially for children from all strata of society, would be the main focus of the government in the second year, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said.
He was addressing the children of the summer camp organised by the Kerala State Child Welfare Council at the Cliff House in the city on Wednesday. “Unlike previous years, we have good healthcare systems, but not everyone is benefitted by it.
Often the needy do not get the best medical care due to financial constraints and increasing medical expenses.
At least all the children should have access to the best healthcare and the government has already devised a scheme for this. I will announce it at the second anniversary celebrations,” said Mr. Chandy. When asked about the most satisfying moment in his life as Chief Minister, Mr. Chandy said the interest among the youth to become entrepreneurs was a welcome change.
