Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala on Thursday released the flag commemorating Flag Day of the Kerala Fire and Rescue Services, observed on March 8 every year.

The flag, which will be sold and the proceedings used for the welfare and amenities of firemen and their families apart from emergency financial assistance, was released in the presence of L. Radhakrishnan, Principal Secretary (Home), Joe Kuruvilla Easo, F&R Services Director (Administration), Arun Alphonse, Divisional Fire Officer, K. Chandrika, Mayor, and M. Mukundan, general secretary, Kerala Fire Services Association. The flag will be sold across the State.
