Elaborate security for Lakshadeepam festival

Devaswom Minister V.S. Sivakumar has said that elaborate security arrangements will be put in place inside and around Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple on January 14 for ‘Lakshadeepam.’ He was addressing a meeting on the festival arrangements here on Friday.

A release said that on the day of the festival, more police personnel, including women personnel, would be deployed. The security of women and child was of top priority, the Minister said. The services of the Vanitha help desk would be utilised. Parking on roads leading to the the temple would not be permitted. Vaikundam, Ananthashayanam Mandapam, Fort High School, Attakulangara High School, Putharikandam Maidanam, Gandhi Park, and Priyadarshini Hall ground would be parking zones.
