The bodies of a senior citizen couple were found in their house at Vellarada late on Sunday. The police said the members of a religious society who reached the house to distribute notices of a programme alerted the police after they found the house locked and saw the bodies through an open window. While the body of Kamalam, 55, was found on the floor, apparently bludgeoned to death, Vijayadas, 65, was found hanging from the ceiling. Neighbours did not have much details about the two, who moved into the locality recently. The police have registered a case and are investigating.
