Rs.100 crore for toilets along the Ganga

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is scheduled to receive a draft of Rs.100 crore from spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi for the construction of toilets in villages on the banks of the River Ganga as part of the Prime Minister’s project named Namami Gange. The function will be held at Amritapuri ashram in Kollam on September 11.

A press note issued here on Monday said lakhs of volunteers had taken to sanitation programmes and awareness about waste management under the Amala Bharatam campaign launched by the Mata Amritanandamayi Math.
