Over a dozen artists have come together to mount an exhibition at the Museum Auditorium here to both showcase their talent and raise funds to support a school for the visually challenged.

The exhibition, organised by Lions Club of Thiruvananthapuram, was inaugurated by Speaker P. Sreeramakrishnan on Tuesday. The exhibition, which would go on till May 2, features 13 artists, who follow different styles.

Each artist has put up four paintings. Proceeds from the exhibition will contributed to Jyothirgamaya Blind School, Thiruvananthapuram, S. Pradeep, exhibition coordinator, says.

Says Anil Kumar, whose paintings are a deft mix of dots to create images, “I have been practising this style for years now. I take around 10 days to finish each of my works.” Others whose works are on display at the exhibition are Dinak Divakaran, Binesh Augustine, Binu Perukave, Mahesh T., Suresh Dev, N.K. Sunu Kovalam, Ramesh Kainila, Saji Vismaya, Unni Balaramapuram, Kavitha, Selina and Chithira, some of sticking to the realism and others going in for experimentation and abstract painting.
