CM’s promise to the differently abled

The government will consider setting up a skill development centre for the differently abled, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told a group of students from the Government School for the Visually Challenged at Vazhuthacaud here on Thursday. During his interaction with the students, he conceded their request for 20 laptops and agreed to consider upgrading the institution to a high school.

Food allowance

He also told the students that the government would examine their plea to enhance the food allowance from ₹50 to ₹100.

Thirty students studying from Classes 1 to 12 and their teachers called on the Chief Minister in his chamber. Mr. Vijayan distributed sweets to the visitors.
