Corruption and red-tapism have been weakening Civil Services in the State, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on Thursday.

He was inaugurating the 43rd annual meet of the Kerala Secretariat Employees Association at AKG hall here. The government would not compromise on corruption and red-tapism. The government was determined to develop a strict monitoring mechanism and strengthen e-governance facilities to curb corruption, he added. There should be no delay in delivering services.

New norms for transfer

The Chief Minister said new norms would be introduced regarding the transfer of government employees. Talks would be held with employees’ associations to eliminate mismanagement within government.
