Sainik School, Kazhakuttam, has invited applications for admission to Class 6 and 9 for boys for the academic year 2017-18.
A press release here on Friday said that 60 seats were available in Class 6 and 10 in Class 9. Those born between July 2, 2006, and July 1, 2007, are eligible for admission to Class 6 and those born between July 2, 2003 and July 1, 2004 and studying in Class 8 in a recognised school are eligible for admission to Class 9. The last date for issue of application form and prospectus is November 18 and the last date for submission of completed applications is November 30.
The entrance examination would be held on January 8, 2017, at centres in Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Palakkad, Sainik School, Kazhakuttam, and Kavaratti in Lakshadweep (subject to sufficient number of candidates).
Fifteen per cent seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes, 7.5 for Scheduled Tribes, and 25 per cent for sons of defence personnel and ex-servicemen.
The application form will be available from the Principal, Sainik School, Kazhakuttam, Sainik School PO, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 585, from October 17. Details can be had from www.sainikschooltvm.nic.in.
