Biodiversity expo begins

Sustainable development is the best form of development and it can be achieved only if development and environment protection go hand in hand, Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan has said.

He was inaugurating a biodiversity expo organised by the Kerala State Biodiversity Board here on Friday.

“More than 100 institutions from the fields of agriculture, science, and environment are participating in the expo, which is being held on the Kanakakkunnu Palace grounds. National Biodiversity Authority, Salim Ali Centre for Ornithology, M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation, Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden and Research Institute, Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Central Tuber Crops Research Institute, Fisheries University, Tea Board, and various NGOs, public sector units are participating in the expo.
