Bid to gain political mileage, says BJP

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy’s mass contact programme is making a mockery of the administrative system, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State president V. Muralidharan has said. Mr. Muralidharan said in a statement here on Monday that Mr. Chandy himself was admitting that there was no transparent and efficient administration in the State.

He was handling issues that could easily be cleared at the village offices. This was aimed at reaping political mileage in the run-up to the Aruvikkara Assembly by-election, Mr. Muralidharan said.
