Eight police officers, including an Assistant Commissioner and two Circle Inspectors, from the city have been selected by the Director-General of Police for the State-level Badge of Honour for Detective Excellence for the year 2012.
According to an official release, Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala would present the Badge of Honour to these officers at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at the Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium.
From the city, the winners included K.E. Baiju, Assistant Commissioner (Crime Detachment), former Peroorkada Circle Inspector Prathapan, Sub Inspector M. Nazir and civil police officer Arun; Sheen Tharayil, CI, SI K.V. Ramanan and CPOs C.S. Srikumar and Sabu
