Ayurveda College to be centre of excellence

Government Ayurveda College will be made a centre of excellence, Health Minister V.S. Sivakumar has said.

He was inaugurating the 125th year celebrations of the institution here on Friday.

Mr. Sivakumar said an expert committee would be set up to prepare a project report on making the institution a centre of excellence.

Mayor K. Chandrika planted a sapling to inaugurate the programme wherein 125 saplings will be planted to mark every year of the college’s existence. Year-long programmes are being organised to celebrate the 125th anniversary. College Principal P.K. Ashok and former Directors of Ayurveda Medical Education P.K. Mohanlal and P. Sankaran Kutty were present at the function.
