The Department of Education will organise ‘adalats' in all districts to facilitate correction of wrong entries in the SSLC certificate.

The first of these ‘adalats' would be held at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Malappuram, on June 30, Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rabb told a press conference here on Thursday.

Applications, complete with clear proof, for corrections in date of birth, names of students or parents, marks, place of birth, caste, religion, gender, address, and identification marks would be accepted at the ‘adalats.'

Receipts would be issued and the corrected certificates would be issued to the student in stipulated time, in any case not later than a month of the submission of the application, he said. Another adalat would be organised at the same venue for this purpose, Mr. Rabb said.

An ‘adalat' would be held in Kannur on July 19, Idukki on August 13, and Pathanamthitta on September 26. The dates of the ‘adalats' in other districts would be announced later, he added.
