Ansari to arrive on three-day visit today

: Vice President Hamid Ansari will reach here on Monday evening for a three-day visit to the State.

The Vice President, who will arrive at the Thiruvananthapuram international airport at 3.05 p.m. on Monday, will be received by Governor P. Sathasivam, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and senior officials.

He will proceed to Kollam by helicopter and unveil the statue of M. Sreenivasan, former Principal, Sree Narayana College, Kollam.

He will return to the State capital after the function and stay overnight at the Raj Bhavan.

The Vice President will inaugurate the ‘Navathy’ celebrations of ‘Navajyothy’ Karunakara Guru at the Santhigiri Ashram at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

Digital library network

At 4 p.m., he will inaugurate a digital library network as part of the Total E-Literacy Programme of the P.N. Panicker Foundation.

He will leave for Kochi on Wednesday morning and inaugurate the ‘Vidyadhanam’ scheme of St. Teresa’s College.

He will leave for New Delhi by special flight from there at 12.55 p.m.
