A(H1N1) claims one life

Twenty-three new cases of influenza A(H1N1) infection and one death were confirmed in the State on Monday.

Ram, 42, of Punalur, who died at the Medical College Hospital here on Monday while under treatment for fever, myalgia, breathlessness and jaundice, was confirmed as H1N1 positive. Of the new H1N1 cases confirmed, three each are from Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam and Kasaragod, six from Thrissur, and two each from Alappuzha, Kollam, Malappuram and Kozhikode.
