Lawyers and clerks demanding the establishment of a High Court Bench in the capital city on Friday decided to intensify their agitation.

On November 1, they will appear for work wearing badges swearing allegiance to their cause. They will assemble in front of the Thiruvananthapuram Bar Association office and declare the day as “Rights Day.”

In a press release, High Court Bench Action council chairman C.K. Sitaram and convenor Vallakkadavu Muralidharan said lawyers and clerks had called off their agitation briefly after the political leadership of both fronts assured them that the issue would be resolved at the earliest.
