Abhaya case: narco-analysis tests stayed

The Supreme Court, on Thursday, stayed a Kerala High Court order allowing the Central Bureau of Investigation to subject three witnesses in the Sister Abhaya murder case to narco-analysis tests.The Bench was hearing a special leave petition against the Kerala High Court order filed by the witnesses Sister Sherly, Thresiamma and Achamma.

They said they had been questioned comprehensively for as many as 50 times by several investigating agencies and were also subjected to brain-mapping and polygraph tests. They were not keeping good health. Therefore, they were not ready to go in for a narco-analysis test, the petitioners submitted.
